incredible seeming device, question is, does it work as an interface for other daws apart from the bundled software? like cubase, sonar, logic, pro tools etc
ReplyDeleteIt does not have the ability to operate as a controller for any DAW's. I have been using mine for recording bands at their live gigs. And I have not needed any additional outboard gear. The Fat channel on the mixer includes, gate/expanders, compression and limiter, EQ... and most of these are available for the AUX and Subs mix too. With an additional 31 band EQ for mains!! Talkback for all Aux's and mains if you need it. A truely great mixer!
ReplyDeleteI have been running the SL1642 in my project studio along with Presonus´ Studio One Pro which is an excellent software that just gets better and better with each regular update.
ReplyDeleteI also use the desk with Logic Studio and it integrates seamlessly. Excellent quality mic pres, 6 Aux´s plus 2 32 bit on-board FX that are more than adequate for recording.
All in all, an excellent buy.... :-)
