Street Musicians: Vasyl Fomytskyi + Dusty Rhodes

I enjoy the music and stories of street musicians.



Vasyl Fomytskyi is a street musician who plays the double-bass for a living in Central Park in New York City. The acoustics produced by the arcade make it an ideal location for many musicians who perform in the park.



Jazz saxophonist Dusty Rhodes plays music for a living in Washington Square Park in NYC.

  1. Very cool. I hardly ever get a chance to go to the park, so I never saw these musicians. I do see musicians in the NYC subway and some of them are fantastic! Like the 'Saw Lady' (www.sawlady.com/blog ) - did you ever see her playing the musical saw at the Union Square subway station? the sound of the musical saw in the cave-like accoustics of the subway is amazing.
